Qingdao Taijin Machinery 6-Ton Diesel Forklift: Power and Load-Bearing Configuration for Heavy-Duty Handling

1. Product Overview

The Qingdao Taijin Machinery 6-ton diesel forklift is a 6.0-ton counterbalance internal combustion forklift, with its powertrain, mast structure, load-bearing system, and travel system all configured for heavy-duty operation. The machine is powered by a Quanchai 4J1 or ISUZU 6BG1 diesel engine, matched with an automatic transmission and a triple-stage mast, with a maximum lift height of 4.5 meters, dual front tires, and a rated capacity of 6.0 tons. It is suited to heavy-duty material handling in steel, stone, timber, container devanning, and large logistics park applications.

2. Key Features

1. Powertrain: Quanchai 4J1 Standard, ISUZU 6BG1 Optional

The machine is standard-equipped with a Quanchai 4J1 diesel engine rated at 85 kW. An ISUZU 6BG1 diesel engine (rated at 82 kW) is available as an option. The two powerplants have comparable rated outputs, and both cover the power requirements of 6.0-ton full-load operation.

Quanchai 4J1 This machine is standard-equipped with the Chinese-built Quanchai 4J1 diesel engine. For overseas buyers, the value of Chinese-built diesel power comes down to two points. First, a more competitive machine purchase cost: the price advantage of a Chinese-built engine in the same power class is reflected directly in the machine quotation. Second, a mature parts supply route: Quanchai's sales and service network covers China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and other regions, and its overseas export supply business continues to grow, so parts can be shipped through established export channels — shortening equipment downtime.

ISUZU 6BG1 is a well-established diesel engine in the industrial forklift sector, supported by a comprehensive authorised service network and parts distribution system in most global markets. It suits buyers with specific requirements on parts supply lead time and service convenience, or those who have a specified engine brand.

Both powerplants are mature, proven units. The choice can be made by evaluating service network coverage in the target market together with the buyer's long-term maintenance plan.

2. Transmission: Automatic

The machine is matched with an automatic transmission using hydraulic drive. Compared with a manual transmission, an automatic transmission removes the need for the operator to work the clutch during frequent loaded starts and directional changes, reducing operator strain over long shifts and eliminating clutch wear caused by riding the clutch.

For yards and warehousing operations with high loading frequency and repeated shuttling between bays, the improvement in operational continuity is direct.

3. Mast System: Triple-Stage, 4.5-Meter Maximum Lift

The mast adopts a triple-stage structure with a maximum lift height of 4.5 meters. While achieving a comparatively high lift height, a triple-stage mast has a lower collapsed height and obstructs the operator's forward view less — suited to operations that require frequent positioning between truck beds and high-rack bays.

The lift cylinders, chains, and roller assemblies are rated for 6-ton-class loads, meeting the requirements of routine lifting at a full 6.0-ton load.

4. Fork Configuration: 1220 mm Standard, Custom Length Available

Fork standard length is 1220 mm. For handling long-dimension loads such as pipe, section, and stone, fork length can be customised to the actual load dimensions.

Fork length directly affects load centre distribution and the stress at the fork root. When handling non-standard dimensions, forks that are too short leave excessive unsupported overhang and shift the load centre outward, affecting machine stability; forks that are too long reduce effective load capacity. For such orders, we recommend providing the load width, load centre position, and pallet specification before ordering, so that our technical team can determine the correct fork length and load centre.

5. Load-Bearing and Travel System: Dual Front Tires

The front wheels use a dual-tire configuration in size 8.25-15-14PR; the rear tires are 8.25-15-14PR.

14PR-rated tires offer higher load capacity. The dual front tire design distributes the machine's full-load weight over a larger contact area, reducing ground pressure per tire and improving both tire service life and performance on the working surface. It is suited to sites with limited floor load capacity, slightly uneven ground, or long travel distances.

6. Steering System: Minimum Turning Radius 3310 mm

The machine's minimum turning radius is 3310 mm — a standard figure in the 6-ton counterbalance forklift class, sufficient for main aisles in large warehouses, open storage yards, and plant roads.

7. Standard Equipment

Each machine is supplied with a 3-filter kit (air, oil, and fuel filters), a toolbox, a fuel gauge, and a reversing alarm.

  • 3-filter kit: air, oil, and fuel filters supplied with the machine, allowing routine maintenance to be carried out at sites without nearby service support

  • Toolbox: supplied with the machine for daily inspection and routine maintenance work

  • Fuel gauge: lets the operator monitor fuel level in real time and plan refuelling and shift scheduling

  • Reversing alarm: sounds automatically when reversing — suited to loading areas with multiple operators and large blind spots
